I did 4 X 5 min in the pool with 2 min recovery.  I got my heart rate up to over 160 on those intervals.  The total pool aquajogging was a little over 55 min.  I was going to do a bike workout in the afternoon but my legs were pretty tired so I called it a day.

I have some questions about the aqua joggind. I have been having pains in the front of my left thigh and know resting it is my best hope for recovery. I go to the pool 3 or 4 days a week for swimming but would like to try running in the pool as well. I was wondering about what type of setup is needed. You mention using a belt sometimes. What depth ? Or do you just get in and run around like you would on the road ? Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Just one follow up though. In the deep end if I keep my running form with my legs, do I do a typical treading action with my arms? If not, and with no float, how do you stay above the water?

Hey Ryan--now that you've simulated mile repeats in the pool, I bet you'll totally feel at home if tomorrow you get sideways in the water and pound your feet as hard as you can into the cement pool wall to simulate the Daytona sidewalks.
