Daytona Sidewalks
It was sunny and warm which made for a nice day to run. I felt really good considering I raced yesterday and felt absolutely horrible on my second run. Then I spent about 6 hours on my feet at Daytona Speedway watching the rolex 24 hours of racing. Nothing was really aching at all and I cruised through a fairly easy 17 miler. Even by the end of the run my form hadn't broken down at all and I was running comfortable. Well, mostly comfortable...the cool warm day was a chaffing waiting to happen. But it was a good run and it was nice to shake of yesterday's disappointment. I've got a 10k coming up next Saturday so luckily I won't have time to dwell on this race too much. I'm hoping to get a solid workout in on Tuesday but we'll have to see how I'm feeling tomorrow and what my options are for track access. |
